THE DEPARTMENT OF INFRASTRUCTURE, PORTS AND TRANSPORT IS DEEPLY SADDENED BY THE LOSS OF ONE OF OUR MEMBERS OF STAFF.
The Department of Infrastructure, Ports and Transport is deeply saddened by the loss of one of our members of staff.
Valence “Trini” Alexander passed away tragically on Monday February 27th, as a result of a motor vehicular accident.
Alexander was employed with the DIPT’s Road Maintenance (Potholing) Unit from 2018 until his passing.
“Trini’ as he was lovably called, was dedicated to his daily duties, and treasured by all his co-workers.
Road Maintenance Supervisor Vaughan Edwin described Alexander as the “best worker” in his Unit.
The Department of Infrastructure expresses our deepest condolences to the relatives, loved ones and co-workers of Valence “Trini” Alexander in their time of bereavement.
The DIPT also wishes to take the opportunity to urge the general and motoring public to pay heed to the signage and other cautionary devices installed when traversing areas where road works and maintenance are being undertaken.
