Electrical work is necessary to rectify frequent power fluctuations at the hospital.

Management of the Victoria Hospital informs the general public and clients that on Saturday,  August  15, there  will  be a scheduled interruption in the  electricity supply at Victoria Hospital  from  7 a.m. to facilitate remedial electrical works on the hospital's main distribution.

During the intervention the power supply will be cut off for approximately one hour, following which back up services will be provided via the hospital’s generator.

The following areas will be affected: Maternity, Radiology, Kitchen, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, a section of Ward 9, CSSD and Laundry (phase 1; 7 - 8 a.m.). ICU, Operating Theatre, Renal Unit, Nursing, Accident and Emergency and Chest Wing (phase 2; 8 - 9 p.m.).

The electrical work will be carried out by Michel's Electrical and is necessary to rectify an electrical problem that results in frequent power fluctuations at the hospital. Victoria Hospital will ensure that the work is expedited to allow for the restoration of direct electricity supply at the quickest possible time. The Management of Victoria Hospital apologizes to the general public, clients and staff for any inconvenience caused as a result of the electrical work.
